On The Silent Wings of Freedom

Originally when I started painting this I was thinking about Ravens, and of course Poe's poem about the ever present sorrow over the death of Lenore but it wasn't what I was personally feeling or really what I wanted the painting about.

This painting is more about breaking away from the crowd, taking freedom from the sometimes deadening influence of a crowd. The title of the painting comes from a Yes song where one line of the lyrics is "As you hurtle to fear midst the challenge of everyone".
