Waiting

Walking in downtown Toronto on my way to lunch with a friend and former work colleague, I came across this gentleman quietly sitting in the street with all sorts of his possessions surrounding him. He had a newspaper on his lap which I believe he was attempting to sell but in the 10 or so minutes I stood silently and watched him, he did not solicit one person, speak or in any way move. He seemed oblivious to his surroundings, like he was sitting there, with all his things waiting. For something.
